Summary

This update introduces significant enhancements across the platform, focusing on Synoptic editor precision, Event Log data visibility, and the foundational expansion of User Administration.

Note: Please be aware of a breaking change in the Event Log; accessing embedded video views now requires a double-click action.

New Features

  • [Synoptics] New button in the editor to center the background image when the background type is set to 'Image'.
  • [Synoptics] Added a navigation minimap to track the current viewport position within the synoptic (applicable to image backgrounds).
  • [Synoptics] Added a resizing handle to images to enable a smoother and more precise scaling experience.
  • [Event log] The event properties modal now displays associated images at the bottom of the window.
  • [Event log] Added event data to the top of the properties modal, including event type ID, timestamp, and related objects.
  • [Event log] Added event bypass on right-click context menu option.
  • [Event log] The filter builder now allows defining inclusive or exclusive rules when selecting event types.
  • [Event log] The event log filter builder now allows users to specify object groups within the event selection process.
  • [Users Admin] Added the form workflow (CRUD) for the new tenant entity.

Improvements

  • Introduced a new binary 'water' sensor class with dedicated iconography for water presence/absence detection. https://docs.netsocs.com/en/settings/object-types/sensor%20(binary)/#water
  • The centering algorithm for image-type items in the synoptic editor has been improved.
  • Users can now successfully modify image titles within the synoptic editor.
  • Navigation within the editor and viewer is now restricted to the background image boundaries.
  • [ATOX] In the 'Get Object State' node, the table selector was replaced with a tree view; known issues were also resolved.
  • [ATOX] In the "Open Video Popup" node, the table selector was replaced with a tree selector; resolved an issue causing selection loss in specific scenarios.
  • Improved the spatial proportions for the side-panel video preview (live and recorded) when viewing event-related channels.
  • Refreshed the Microsoft Excel node iconography and rebranded the "Azure AD" category to "Microsoft 365."
  • Removed several deprecated or unused nodes to optimize system performance and stability.
  • [Users Admin] New filters in the user list: filter by group, name, and tenant.
  • [Users Admin] New fields added to the user form: Tenant, Group, Photo.
  • [Objects] New validation rules for object IDs: hyphens (-) are not allowed when creating an object ID.
  • Vertical responsiveness for sensors is now smoother when resizing dashboard widgets.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the webhook trigger generated an incorrect URL. The path has been corrected to include the missing /netsocs/ segment.
  • Restored functionality for hyperlinks associated with image elements.
  • Re-enabled object creation directly from the element tree.
  • The event properties modal no longer closes automatically if the associated event is rotated out of the log by new incoming data.
  • The notification object and video pop-up on the dashboard are created correctly when Netsocs starts, so the video pop-up node no longer returns a 404/400 error.
  • Sensor changes and states now persist across page refreshes and reloads.
  • Adjusted the height of the object selector when linking items to a group to prevent UI overflow in long lists.
  • Adjusted the height of the object selector within the event log filter builder to prevent UI overflow.
  • Resolved a shared state issue where pagination persisted across different event logs, preventing blank views caused by invalid page index references.

Breaking Changes

Accessing the embedded video view (live and recorded) from the event log now requires a double-click instead of a single click.
