Release notes

What's new in Netsocs software products — version history, improvements, and fixes. New entries are added with each published release.

Netsocs Synergy

Updates for visualization, automation, playback, and operator workflows.

v3.2.1

April 9, 2026

  • Synoptics: center background image control, viewport minimap (image backgrounds), image resize handles, navigation clamped to background bounds, and editable image titles.
  • Event log: richer properties modal (metadata and images), context-menu bypass, and filter builder upgrades (inclusive/exclusive event types, object groups). Breaking: embedded live/recorded video opens with double-click.
  • Users Admin: tenant CRUD workflow, user list filters (group, name, tenant), and user form fields (tenant, group, photo).
  • Platform: binary water sensor class with iconography, smoother sensor widget resizing, object IDs may not contain hyphens, ATOX tree selectors (Get Object State, Open Video Popup), Excel node icon refresh, and Azure AD category renamed to Microsoft 365; deprecated nodes removed.
  • Fixes: webhook URL path (/netsocs/), synoptic image hyperlinks, element-tree object creation, event properties modal when events rotate out, dashboard video popup at startup, sensor state after refresh, object selector overflow in groups and filter builder, and event log pagination across different logs.
v3.2.0

March 29, 2026

  • Synoptics: relative tracker filters (Recognized/Dangerous) with persistent configuration, plus hover highlights trails.
  • Automation: new node for programmatic Excel manipulation (currently under testing and optimization).
  • UI efficiency: more compact ATOX execution list, timeline zoom via Ctrl + scroll, and improved driver selector grid.
  • Fixes across Events log, Dolynk player sessions, ATOX JSON editor/schema editor, and Synoptics tracker trail expiry.

Netsocs Site Manager

Updates for multi-site configuration, provisioning, and remote management.

v3.2.0

March 29, 2026

  • Connection settings (hub, site, token) apply to all installed drivers automatically; running drivers restart in the background so the UI stays responsive.
  • More reliable saving of Site Manager settings when many actions happen at once or the service stops unexpectedly.
  • Validation for full http/https URLs on hub address, site name, and driver install links—clear errors before settings are applied.
  • Driver catalog cached briefly so slow or flaky networks still show the last successful list instead of a blank screen.
v3.1.0

March 29, 2026

  • Automatic driver recovery on restart — previous driver state is restored without manual steps.
  • Persistent per-driver activity logs with rotation and retained history for easier troubleshooting.
  • Stable unique site identity across restarts and upgrades for centralized management integrations.
  • Simpler install and upgrade with fewer OS-level requirements and standard permissions.
  • Improved production stability: driver communication errors and transient failures handled more reliably.
